Maui Workshop on Credit Management

Even during financially prosperous times, a lot of people find it difficult to navigate the ins and outs of the increasingly complex world of credit. Hard economic conditions don't help matters much, and potential homeowners need to know how credit affects their chances of loan approval.
A workshop to answer such questions is drawing near. Some of the topics to be discussed are credit score, disputing credit reports, and how to clean up your credit. If a mistake is made to your detriment, you should know how to correct the issue. This workshop can help you learn what to do and what not to do.
The title of this class is "Taking Control of Your Credit" and will be held on July 21st from noon to 1p.m. Delia Wilson will be presenting. She is a loan fund manager with MEO Business Development Corp. She will explain how credit affects your ability to get financing for a growing business, or to start one.
As they say, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Don't wait until you've made a mistake to learn about credit. Even if you haven't had trouble, it's a good idea to educate yourself on how credit works. If you've got any kids going away to college, you might want to bring them too.
This is a free class and will be held at the Maui County Business Resource Center in the Maui Mall across from IHOP. Call (808) 873-8247 if you need more information.
