Lahaina Jackpot Fishing Tournament

The Lahaina Jackpot Fishing Tournament is coming up fast on October 28th and continuing to the 30th. It was started in 1976, making it the oldest money tournament to be held in the state of Hawaii. This event is always a lot of fun, and has been thoroughly supported by the community for all of its 34 years.

Lahaina is an excellent sport fishing destination, and this tournament helps to generate some serious recognition and appreciation for that. It also helps to provide an educational experience on the sport to both residents and visitors. A great deal of avid fishermen from all over the US have never had the opportunity to experience ocean fishing at all, and for many of those, the idea of fishing while on vacation doesn't even occur to them! At least not right away. But there are a number of very responsible fishing charters the operate out of both Lahaina Harbor and Maalaea Harbor.

This tournament is organized and operated by the Lahaina Yacht Club, and as members, we are pleased to sponsor this event once again and look forward to it with great enthusiasm! The general level of participation includes as many as 120 boats and 450 to 500 anglers from all over Hawaii, the US and international locations.

The Wahine (Women's) Tournament will be held on the 28th, the Jackpot Fishing Tournament will be held on the 29th and 30th. Fishing will begin at 7am and end at 4pm. For a more detailed schedule and all the other important information you'll need, see lahainajackpot.com. We hope to see you there!
